Easy Crockpot Pot Roast




Ingredients:

-1 (2lb) chuck roast

-1 bag of baby potatoes

-1 bag of baby carrots

-1/2 an onion

-Salt & pepper to taste

-1 bag of frozen peas

-1 TSP onion powder

-1 TSP garlic powder

-1 carton of beef broth

For gravy:

-2 TBS corn starch

-1/4 cup water

-2 cups of liquid from crockpot


Directions:

  1. Add roast to crock pot. Place all veggies (excluding peas) around the roast. Add beef broth and seasonings.

  2. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.

  3. Add frozen peas in the last 15-20 mins.

For gravy:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch.

  2. Remove 2 cups of liquid from the crockpot and pour into a sauce pan.

  3. Whisk the water and cornstarch mixture in with the liquid in the sauce pan.

  4. Bring to a boil and stir frequently for 3 minutes or until it thickens.
